หลักการใช้ Verb to be

นักเรียนได้ศึกษารูปแบบการใช้และตัวอย่างของ  Verb to be  ทัง 3 ตัวแล้ว เพื่อให้นักเรียนเข้าใจและสามารถ
นำ Verb to be ไปใช้ในประโยคได้อย่างถูกต้อง ควรศึกษาหลักการใช้  Verb to be เพิ่มเติมดังนี้

Verb to be มีหลักการใช้ดังต่อไปนี้

1. to be + adjective หมายถึงการใช้ Verb to be ตามด้วยคำคุณศัพท์ (Adjective) เช่น

I am happy.

You are smart.
They are lazy.
She is pretty.
That dog is fierce.(ดุ)
That trees are very tall.

2. to be + กริยาเติม ing (v+ing) ใช้เพื่อแสดงเหตุการณ์ที่กำลังกระทำ หรือกำลังเกิดขึ้น เช่น

My mother is cooking.
Joey  and his friends are doing  their homework.
You are listening to the songs.
I am teaching English.
We are learning English online.

3. to be + complement. (ส่วนขยาย) ใช้  Verb to be กับส่วนขยายของประโยค เพื่อให้
    ประโยคสมบูรณ์ขึ้น เช่น

His father is an engineer.
They are soccer players.
I am an actress.
She is a nurse.

4. ใช้ในรูปของ There is / There are  เช่น

There is a calculator on the table.
There is an umbrella on the wall.
There is milk in the glass.
There are five notebooks in a backpack.
There are twelve in a dozen. 
There are seven days in a week.
